Let me start with the moment that changed the entire direction of my sales philosophy and approach, leading to over two decades of Trust-Based Selling success.
Twenty-five years ago, I was a sales manager at a software company, and I had a major prospect on a call along with all the key decision makers.
The conversation went beautifully. Everyone was warm and engaging, and at the end of the call, they told me they were excited and would follow up with me in a couple of weeks.
Then I went to hang up the conference line, and by accident, I hit mute, they heard a click, and they thought I hung up the phone.
A voice inside of me said: “Ari, go to the dark side, the prospect’s side, where no one has ever gone before”, so I listened into their conversation after they thought I had hung up.

Turns out, what I heard was the opposite of everything they had just said to me on the call. They had no intention of moving forward, and they had simply told me what I wanted to hear, so they could shop somewhere else, cheaper.
That moment took the floor out from under me. I had been taught that rapport and relationship-building meant honesty, and in one accidental click, I learned that they do not.
The whole model of selling is built to make both the buyer and seller perform, and when people perform, the truth of your buyer’s issues stay hidden from you.
So I made it my life mission to fix that, and I’ve spent the last twenty-five years building a unique and special way to create real trust and safety inside a sales conversation, that naturally allows the truth to emerge.
I call it Trust-Based Selling, and over the years thousands of business owners, advisors and entrepreneurs around the world have used it to stop chasing, stop convincing, and start having real conversations that convert – in a single conversation.
Over the years, I’ve noticed something about the people who master this approach and have incredible success.
They don’t get great from a weekend seminar. They don’t get great from reading a book or watching a course once and saying, I got this.
I’ve watched so many professionals do exactly that, walk out the door full of confidence, and come back months later saying the same thing every time: “Ari, I’ve slipped back into my old ways.”
It happens because trust-based selling is not a set of tactics you bolt on to what you’re doing now. It’s a completely different mindset shift, and a different way of speaking, and it overrides years of old habits that your parents, industry mentors and every sales trainer has ever taught you before.
Think about learning to ride a bike. You don’t learn it from a diagram. You learn it with someone beside you, holding the back of your seat, steadying you while you wobble, staying there until the moment it finally clicks and you ride off on your own.
Mastery works the same way. It takes time, and it takes someone who has done it walking the road beside you, week after week, until the new way becomes the only way you know how to be.
That is what the Trust Academy is all about.
This is the part I want to be very clear about, because this program is not about self-improvement for its own sake and it’s not about changing the world. It’s about what happens to your business when you reach the highest level of skill in building trust inside your sales conversations.
When you operate at that level, qualified prospects stop slipping through your fingers. You stop losing people you should have won, because you can feel exactly where trust is breaking and you know precisely what to say to repair it.
Your sales cycle gets shorter, because you’re getting to the truth early inside the conversation, instead of circling it for weeks.
And your conversion rate climbs toward the number I believe every skilled practitioner should be aiming for, which is 100% of your prospects who are genuinely qualified to work with you. Not because you pressured them, but because there was nothing left in their way.
And then there’s the part that lasts the rest of your career. Once you own this at a mastery level, you can teach it. You can sit with your team, partners, salespeople, even your clients to show them how to do the same inside their own businesses.
You become the person others turn to, the one who walks the talk, the one who has the black belt and the calm that comes with it. That skill never leaves you, and it never stops paying you back.
Trust Academy is a six-month coaching program designed to take you all the way to Master Practitioner of Trust-Based Selling.
Every week, you’ll meet live with our head coach, Sam Tornatore (who has been personally mentored by me), in a small-group coaching session. Sam will take you and your group through the entire journey: your trusted authority positioning (like a doctor), the trust-based mindset, languaging, tone, pace, and every small nuance that builds trust inside a real sales conversation.
You’ll practice and you’ll get coached on what you actually say at every moment of the trust-based selling process (you don’t have to wing it anymore). And week after week, the new way will settle in deeper, until it stops being something you’re trying to do and becomes your new internal operating system.
The group will be kept small on purpose, with a maximum of 25 students, so the coaching stays personal and you’re never lost in a crowd. If you can’t make a live session, no problem, every session will be recorded, so you never fall behind and you can revisit each session as many times as you need.
Six months of consistency, one hour every week, with a master coach beside you.
That consistency is the whole point, and it’s the thing almost every other learning program is missing.

Over the six months, Sam will take you deep into every layer of trust-based selling, including:
This is not theory you file away. It’s deep skills you build, in your own conversations, week after week, until you “own” it.
This program is built for business owners, advisors, business leaders, and independent entrepreneurs who carry real responsibility for revenue, and who sense that the problem is not their lead flow, but their conversion of the leads they already have – qualified prospects being lost in conversations that should have been an effortless sale.
It’s especially for you if any of these sound familiar:
And honestly, this is not for everyone. It’s not for people who want a quick fix, or who are already convinced they have all the answers, or who would rather blame the market or their leads, rather than look at how they show up when a prospect is in front of them.
Mastery asks you to look inward, and to put in the time, and the people who are willing to do that — are the people the Trust Academy is for.
One of the reasons we are making the Trust Academy available is to find a small number of students who reach the top of this program, who have public speaking ability and extensive networks of their own.
For those few, there may be an opportunity to work directly with us as partners, to carry this work onto public speaking stages and into their own networks, to speak on our behalf, to coach others with our endorsement, and to be compensated for it as we grow together.
I want to be clear, this is a possibility for a select few, not a promise to everyone, and the core value of this program stands completely on its own regardless.
But if you’re someone who can see yourself representing this work at the highest level one day (maybe even as a part-time or second career), I want you to know that door exists, and the Trust Academy is where you’ll be selected from.
Let me be precise about this, so there is no confusion.
This is a complete transfer of mastery level trust-based selling skills to you, so you have the ability and the confidence to use it in your own business and to teach it to those close to you.
This is not a certification.
You will not be certified, credentialed or officially licensed. This is not a franchise. You will not receive the right to use our brand, our name, or our logo, and you will not be able to market yourself as certified by us or as our coach (unless you are asked to partner with us).
What you receive is the skill itself, fully yours, to use inside your own world, however you choose.
That is far more valuable than a certificate, and it’s what actually changes your results.
I understand why that number makes you pause, and you’re right to be careful with anyone who throws it around, so let me be precise about what I mean. I’m not saying you’ll close every person who books a call with you, because that would be selling you a fantasy.
I’m saying that of the prospects who are genuinely qualified to work with you, the ones with the problem and the means, there’s no good reason to lose them once trust is fully present.
Most people lose those prospects anyways, not because the fit was wrong, but because something broke in the conversation (doing free consulting, over-educating, talking too much, etc) and they never felt safe enough to trust you , to tell you the full truth of their issues, in order to be decisive with you.
The 100% is not a guarantee I’m handing you. It’s the standard I want you measuring yourself against, because the moment you accept losing qualified people as normal, you stop looking for the change you could have made to prevent this from happening. Measuring your wins, is often more exciting, than measuring your losses.
This is a fair question, and I would ask the same. The honest answer is that mastery does not come from sitting in front of me. It comes from someone walking beside you, week after week, watching what you actually say in your own conversations and correcting it in real time, the way someone holds the back of your bike seat until you can ride on your own.
I cannot be that person for twenty-five people every week for six months and do it properly, as I only work part-time as a Fractional Sales Growth Advisor for a handful of private clients, I’m on the road on speaking tours and I allocate time for my VIP Inner circle members for our Q&A sessions.
Sam has been personally mentored by me for over 5 years and is my only “black belt” who I fully trust – part of the reason for the Trust Academy is to find future potential black belts.
Sam teaches this work exactly the way I do because I personally trained him how to do it, which he has done many times before. My fingerprints are on every part of the curriculum. And you will still speak with me directly in your interview, because I am the one who decides who will be allowed into this special program.
If you’ve tried those approaches and you’re still losing qualified prospects, then you already know the problem is not a shortage of techniques. You have plenty of techniques. The difference is not another set of questions to ask.
It’s the state you’re in when you ask them. Most methods, even the good ones, are still built on a hidden agenda, which is to move the person toward the sale, and your prospects feel that agenda no matter how skilled your questions are, and the moment they feel it — their guard goes up and the truth goes underground.
Trust-based selling removes the agenda first, so the same questions land in a completely different way. It’s the difference between a salesperson asking what keeps you up at night and a doctor asking where it hurts. The words can look almost identical on paper. What the other person feels underneath them is the opposite, and that feeling is the entire approach.
You’re right to ask this question, because if I let you believe every complex deal closes in one sitting, I would be lying to you, and that is a strange way to begin a relationship built on trust.
Here’s what actually happens. The reason most cycles drag on is not the number of stakeholders. It’s that the real issue, the thing underneath the surface, never comes out early, so you spend weeks circling it, following up, and re-selling people who were never going to make a decision.
When you get to the truth in the first sales conversation, the sales cycle doesn’t vanish, but it stops being padded with all that circling. A genuinely complex sale with several decision makers may still take a few real conversations, and that is fine. What disappears is the dead time, the chasing, the endless follow-ups/quotes/proposals and the deals that limp along for months before quietly dying.
I want to answer this plainly, because it’s one of the most important questions you can ask. You are right that you do not walk away with a certificate, and I made that choice on purpose.
A certificate is a credential someone else owns and can take away, and more to the point, a certificate has never once closed a deal for anyone. What you walk away with is the skill itself, living inside you, in your own voice, usable in every conversation you have for the rest of your career.
Nobody can revoke it, nobody can license it back from you, and it does not expire. If what you want is a logo for your website, this is the wrong program, and I would rather you knew that now, upfront. If what you want is to stop losing prospects you should have won, this mastery skill is the only thing that actually does that, and a certificate would only be a distraction from that.
The program teaches you a skill for your own business, and it stands completely on its own whether or not you ever mention my work to another person. The partner possibility exists because, over the years, a small number of people who reach the top of this, turn out to have the platform and the desire to carry it further, and when that happens I would rather build something real with them, than pretend the door is not there. It’s a possibility for a few, never an expectation of anyone, and it’s never the thing you are buying. If that part feels like a catch to you, ignore it entirely, because the program was built to be worth it, standing alone.
This is a reasonable question to ask, and at any time during the program, if you’re not excited about the results you’re seeing and the shift you’re experiencing, you can exit and we will stop your monthly payments. If you paid in full, there will be no refunds. If you are looking to join the program, but have your eye on a quick exit, please do not apply.
I appreciate you holding me to my own words, because that is exactly the right thing to do. The reason people slip back is that they try to change a deep habit in a weekend, and a weekend is not long enough for a new way of being to take hold.
Six months of being coached every week, inside your own real conversations, is built specifically to solve that, because by the end. the new way is not something you’re trying to force yourself to remember, it’s simply how you operate.
That’s the difference between reading about riding a bike and riding one every week until your body forgets there was ever another way. As for what happens afterward, the skill is yours permanently. The honest truth is that the goal is for you to need me less, not more.
This might be my favourite question, because the answer is the entire point of this program.
If I closed you with pressure on that call, I would be disproving everything I am asking you to learn, and I am not interested in being that kind of person with a hidden agenda.
So here is exactly how it goes. I will ask you to walk me through your situation, and why this matters to you, and I will be listening for whether this is genuinely right for you. If it’s a fit, you will feel that for yourself, and you can enroll on the call — through a payment link with the plan you choose. If it’s not, I will say so, and there will be no follow up, no chasing, and no second call to wear you down. You’ll get a clear yes or a clear no by the end, and you get it from a place of respect. The interview is not where I sell you. This letter should give you what you need, our conversation is just a confirmation conversation.
